I know I’ve put this up before. The trailer for “This is How I Roll” a documentary about men’s derby. I think they’ll be submitting to festivals...
The upcoming (2011) documentary on men’s roller derby has a tumblr! Go check it out and add it.

Spotted on morning train- The New York Shock Exchange! Great logo for a men’s roller derby team, apparently.
We gave DerbyLife.com a first look at our new poster and a behind the scenes glimpse of how This Is How I Roll got started.
Well, lookie here.
Some people are going to say M(u)RDA, I prefer to call it Mr. Da. Yes, yes, yes.
Personally, and this isn’t the opinion of the New York Shock Exchange, just Filthy McNasty, but I don’t think the MDC needed a name change, is recognized throughout the roller derby community, and to change it would only confuse things, plus make a lot of unnecessary work in changing websites etc. But I don’t vote on these matters. I’ll support the name MRDA going forward. I’m really excited to see all the teams come together at Spring Roll in May.
The refs from Helsinki, Finland give a great overview for new fans (and skaters) on what all those whistles and waiving arms actually mean.
I love it. it’s not suggesting that people not support women’s roller derby, but that we don’t write men’s derby off without giving it a chance. I think once the naysayers actually see men compete, they will know what they’ve been missing :)
